3. Instructions for purchasing tickets
Tickets are sold in advance 10 days until they are sold out.
The Forbidden City adopts real-name registration system to purchase tickets, and all visitors need to enter their ID cards or passport information before booking tickets.
Each certificate (ID card/passport) is limited to one ticket per admission day.
If you need an invoice, please fill in the invoice in the order and take the relevant documents to the "comprehensive service window" on the east side of the ticket gate to collect it.
Refund and change of visa
Return and change the ticket: if the pre-sale ticket is not used, you can apply for return and change the ticket on this platform before 20:00 pm on the scheduled visit day. If the time limit is exceeded, you can't refund or change them. You can only choose to change the date, not the morning and afternoon.
Refund will be implemented within 5 days after your scheduled admission date. If you haven't received the refund by then, please call customer service for consultation.
Ticket inspection instructions
When placing an order, the audience who filled in the second-generation ID number can be admitted to the hospital directly at any ticket gate with the original ID card or household registration book on the day of admission, and there is no need to exchange paper tickets.
Viewers who have filled in their Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan ID cards or passports when placing an order can apply for admission cards at the "Comprehensive Service Window" on the east side of the ticket gate with the original pre-sale registration certificate.
On the day of the visit, the audience who can't check in due to loss, damage or other circumstances can apply for ticket exchange at the "comprehensive service window" on the east side of the ticket gate with the pre-sale registration ID number.
When an order is checked by more than one person, after any person checks the ticket successfully, it is deemed that all the spectators of the order have checked the ticket (the ticket has been checked, and the ticket cannot be refunded), but others still need to show their certificates for a second ticket check.

Matters needing attention
There is no special parking lot in the Palace Museum. The nearest public parking lot is outside the East Gate, Jingshan Back Street and Beihai South Gate, with limited parking spaces.
