Jilin Institute of Physical Education was founded in 1958, located in Changchun City, Jilin Province with beautiful environment and distinct seasons. It is the only higher physical education institution in Jilin Province. In 2004, with the approval of Jilin Provincial People's Government, the former Jilin Provincial Sports School was merged into Jilin Institute of Physical Education. Since its establishment more than 60 years ago, the school has always adhered to the socialist direction of running schools, implemented the fundamental task of educating people with moral education, trained tens of thousands of outstanding sports talents at all levels and made important contributions to the development of national and regional sports and economic and social development.
The school has two campuses, Nanling and He Lin, covering an area of 627,000 square meters. At present, we are actively promoting the construction of a new airport campus covering an area of 893,654,38+0,000 square meters. It has a master's degree authorization point for the first-level discipline of physical education, a master's degree authorization point for the first-level discipline of public management, a master's degree authorization point for physical education and a master's degree authorization point for education. In the fourth round of discipline evaluation of the Ministry of Education in 20 17, the evaluation result of the first-level discipline of "Physical Education" in the school was B, ranking third among 73 first-level disciplines in all colleges and universities in Jilin Province.
The school has 13 undergraduate majors and 9 specialist majors, covering five disciplines: education, management, art, science and law.
