Introduction of Olympic mascots
There are two mascots for the 2022 Olympic Games, namely, the ice shield, Xue Rongrong and the ice shield. This cute and naive panda is the mascot of the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics, and its name is Ice Shield. It takes the panda as the prototype and combines the panda image with the super ice crystal shell. The shape of the head shell is taken from the snow sports helmet, decorated with colorful rings, and the overall image looks like an astronaut.
It means honesty, stability and loveliness. It symbolizes the athletes' strong physique, indomitable will and inspiring Olympic spirit. Xue Rongrong is the mascot of the 2022 Beijing Paralympic Games. It is designed and made according to lanterns, which represent harvest, celebration, warmth and light.
The top image symbolizes auspiciousness and happiness. The continuous pattern composed of the dove of peace and the Temple of Heaven symbolizes peace and friendship and highlights the characteristics of the venue. Decorative patterns are integrated into the traditional paper-cutting art in China. The snow on the face not only represents the auspicious snow omen and the meaning of good harvest, but also embodies the anthropomorphic design, highlighting the cuteness of the mascot.
These lanterns with China red as the main color exaggerate the festive atmosphere of the Spring Festival in China in 2022. They shine, light dreams, warm the world, represent friendship, courage and strength, embody the fighting spirit mobilized by the Winter Paralympics and the concept of the Winter Paralympics, and inspire the world.
