A case of love rebellion
Li Shimin, Emperor Taizong, is a famous English master in history, and the only emperor in history who has achieved double success in conquering and governing the world. His outstanding talent and martial arts were praised by people at that time and later generations. However, every family has its own difficulties, even the brave emperor has his own difficulties. During the reign of Emperor Taizong, they were troubled for a long time by the problem of abolishing the prince.
Emperor Taizong's queen had three sons, the eldest son Li Chenggan, who was made a prince at the age of eight. The fourth son, Lee Tae, sealed Wang Wei; The ninth son, Li Zhi, was named King of Jin. When Prince Li Chenggan grew up, he was bohemian and often did absurd and shameless things. Suggestion YuZhiNing, zhang remonstrated regularly, Li Chenggan not only did not repent, but also sent cronies to assassinate YuZhiNing. Fortunately, at that time, Ji Cheng's conscience found that he could not bear to lay hands on him, and Yu Zhining escaped. The fourth sons, Wang Wei and Lee Tae, were versatile and won the favor of Taizong. As soon as the two sons were compared, Emperor Taizong began to abolish Li.
When Li Chenggan knew this, he was greatly alarmed, so he colluded with (Emperor Taizong's younger brother), Hou and others to launch a palace coup and seize the throne. Just then, Wang Qi Li Hu, the seventh son of Emperor Taizong of qi zhou, launched an uprising and was defeated and killed. Li Hu's rebellion involves the war, Ji Cheng, who is a close friend of Prince Li Chenggan. In order to survive, Ji Cheng took the initiative to expose the plot of the prince and his gang, and the planned coup was stillborn. Li Chenggan, the Prince, was deposed, and all the participants, such as Hou, were put to death.
At this time, Wang began to seek to establish a prince, and Taizong thought so. However, Lee Tae is a propaganda figure who does not know how to converge, which has aroused the dissatisfaction of Sun Chang Wuji, Chu Suiliang and other important officials. These rituals remind Emperor Taizong that if Li Tai wants to be a prince, he must kill his ninth son, Li Zhi, or he will inevitably lead to a power struggle in the future. And courtiers all advocated making Li Zhi a prince. Emperor Taizong thought that Li Zhi, the ninth son, was "cowardly and afraid that he could not protect the country". He was hesitant and worried, and even wanted to stab himself with a knife. Fortunately, he was embraced by Sun Chang Wuji and others, and won his sabre. In the end, Emperor Taizong appointed his ninth son, Li Zhi, as the Prince, and moved the abandoned Prince Li Chenggan and Mrs. Wang to other countries to eliminate hidden dangers.
Li Zhi was weak, and Emperor Taizong did not trust to teach him at any time. When Li Zhi was eating, Emperor Taizong said, "You know the difficulty of farming, so you often have food." When Li Zhi was riding a horse, Taizong said, "You know the rest of a horse. You can ride often without trying your best. " When Li Zhi took a boat, Emperor Taizong said, "Water can carry a boat, but it can also overturn it. I still have water, and you still have a boat. Do not be careless. " On his deathbed, Taizong solemnly entrusted the Prince to Sun Chang Wuji and Chu Suiliang, asking them to "sincerely assist" and "protect the Zongshe forever". Prince Li Zhi acceded to the throne as Tang Gaozong. Wuji assisted the imperial court as Uncle Yuan, but he soon showed signs of playing politics, even making unjust cases to eradicate dissidents. Wu Wang Li Ke is one of the victims.
Li Ke, King of Wu, son of Feiyang, the third son of Emperor Taizong, was a princess of Sui Dynasty. He is handsome and versatile. Emperor Taizong liked Li Ke very much before his death and often called him "like himself". He had planned to make him a prince. Sun Chang Wuji, as the elder brother of the eldest grandson queen, "fought hard and thought it was impossible". Emperor Taizong knew the real intention of Sun Chang Wuji, and he immediately opposed it, because the prince of Wu was not born to his grandson. But in his later years, there were not many founding heroes alive at that time. Sun Chang Wuji has the dual status of founding hero and royalty, and its power is growing day by day, which has affected the state affairs. Taizong was so talented that he couldn't get rid of the control of the situation and environment at that time. Although he was not disturbed by the harem, he had to listen to the opinions of etiquette on such an important event as the establishment of the prince. The so-called "the situation is better than people" is the truth, which is also a historical phenomenon worth pondering.
Although Emperor Taizong finally made Li Zhi, the king of Jin, a prince according to Sun Chang Wuji's wishes, Li Ke, the king of Wu, was "famous for his high position, and things were extremely moving" (Book of the Old Tang Dynasty, volume 76, Biography of Wang Wuke), which made Wuji deeply jealous. As soon as Emperor Taizong ascended the throne, he immediately used the "rebellion after leaving the government" incident to frame the prince of Wu Li Ke for participating in the rebellion.
"Fang Rebellion" refers to the palace coup staged by Fang (Fang's second son) and his wife Princess Gaoyang (the 17th daughter of Emperor Taizong). Princess Gaoyang is arrogant and bossy. She was having an affair with a famous monk, Xuanzang. After the incident, the debating machine was beheaded and died. Princess Gaoyang was also scolded by Emperor Taizong and was not allowed to enter the palace again. Princess Gaoyang has been unhappy. After the accession to the throne, Princess Gaoyang and Fang contacted Chai Lingwu (who married the fifteenth female princess Danyang) and planned to launch a coup, abolish it and make the king (the seventh son of Emperor Gaozong) emperor, but the matter was not kept secret, and the plan leaked out and a bunch of people were arrested. Emperor Sun Chang Wuji tried the case, and Sun Chang Wuji took this opportunity to implicate the prince Li Ke. Li, Li Ke, Fang, Princess Gaoyang, Chai Lingwu and Princess Baling were all killed.
Li Ke, the king of Wu, cursed Sun Chang Wuji for "stealing power and harming good" before he died. Then, Sun Chang Wuji and Chu Suiliang framed 17-year-old Li Daozong, king of Jiangxia, who followed Emperor Taizong to war and made meritorious military service, and sent him to Xiangzhou. Li Daozong died on the way. Historians of later generations think that Sun Chang Wuji and Chu Suiliang are jealous of talented people, and that "irreconcilable title factors lead to injustice for thousands of years" (Book of the Old Tang Dynasty, Volume 60, Biography of Wang Daozong in Jiangxia).
The impact of this incident on the housing family: the housing family copied the door and Fang's reputation was abolished.
