1. Distribution of building area
Xinxiang University Library is divided into East Building and West Building, with six floors, five floors above ground and one floor underground. The East Building is the reading part, covering an area of about 8,200 square meters, of which the first to fourth floors are electronic reading rooms and general reading rooms, and the fifth floor is the children's reading department. The west building is a library building with an area of about 3,400 square meters, of which the first to third floors are stacks and the fourth floor is a teachers' reading room.
2. Design features
The design features of the library are simple and generous appearance and reasonable internal layout. There are several reading areas in the library to meet the needs of different readers, and at the same time, there are several independent learning spaces to provide a quieter and more private learning environment.
3. Digital services
In order to meet the needs of readers in the digital age, the library has increased a large number of digital resources, including digital books, digital periodicals, thematic databases and so on. In addition, it is equipped with a number of electronic reading rooms and multi-functional learning halls to support various learning methods such as electronic reading, multimedia learning and online communication.
4. Service function
Libraries provide a variety of service functions, such as document delivery, consulting services, information literacy training, etc. In addition, the library has specially set up a reading room for the blind and a barrier-free elevator to make it easier for readers with different physical conditions to obtain book resources.
5. Resource collection and development
Xinxiang University Library actively promotes the collection and renewal of resources. At present, the number of paper books has reached 4.62 million, and the total number of electronic resources has exceeded 400,000. In addition, regular surveys and user demand analysis are carried out to continuously expand the scope and types of library collections according to the actual needs of readers, so as to provide readers with the most valuable knowledge resources services.
