Planting history of Nino tea
According to legend, as early as the Hongwu period of the Ming Dynasty (A.D. 1368- 1398), monks and nuns in Biyun Temple in Changning County planted high-quality tea, which was called Biyunxian Tea. There was another development in Ming and Qing Dynasties. There is an ancient tea tree in Wenquan Township near Nino Mountain, which was cultivated more than 200 years ago. In the twenties and thirties of this century, farmers began to grow tea in pieces, but due to inconvenient transportation, backward technology and slow development. After the establishment of People's Republic of China (PRC), the people's government gave full play to the advantages of 70% of the county's areas suitable for tea, and vigorously developed tea production. By 1990, the tea garden area in the county has reached 1 1 10,000 mu. 1983 recommended Changning County to join the tea technology popularization network of seven provinces and cities in China.
