Putuo District, which belongs to Shanghai, is located in the northwest of the central city of Shanghai. It is the starting point of Shanghai-Nanjing development axis and an important land gateway and transportation hub connecting Shanghai with the Yangtze River Delta and the mainland. With the adjustment and expansion of administrative areas, the administrative divisions of streets and the establishment of offices in their jurisdictions have been adjusted several times accordingly.
199 1 September, due to the need of social management, the streets of Putuo Road and Jiaozhou Road were cancelled and changshou road Street was established; Cancel Ganquan New Village and Hutai New Village Street, and set up Ganquan Road Street; Cancel Zhujiawan and Shiquan Xincun Street, and establish Shiquan Road. Administrative district governs 10 street, 1 town.
In July, 1992, two towns, Changzheng and Taopu, Jiading County were included in the jurisdiction, and the administrative area covered 10 street, 1 town and 2 towns. 1March 1993, Dongxin Village Street was renamed Dongxin Road Street. In May of the same year, Shahongbang Street was renamed Bai Yulu Street. In February of 65438+, the towns of Changzheng and Taopu were abolished, and the towns of Changzheng and Taopu were established. The administrative area includes 10 street and 3 towns.
1March, 1996, Zhenguang Road Street and Baili Road Street were newly built. Administrative area governs 12 street 3 towns. In July, 1997, Yichuan New Village and Zhongshan North Road Street were cancelled and Yichuan Road Street was established. Administrative area governs 1 1 street 3 towns.
On April 27th, 2000, the administrative divisions of Putuo District were greatly adjusted. Five streets including Cao An Road, Bai Yulu, Dongxin Road, Zhenguang Road and Baili Road were cancelled. In the process of merger and adjustment, the administrative divisions of each street and town have been adjusted accordingly, and the adjusted administrative districts have jurisdiction over 6 streets and 3 towns.
