When citizens handle relevant social affairs, matters that cannot be proved by legal identity documents need to be proved by the police station, which shall handle them according to the specific circumstances. Mainly includes the following nine situations:
1. Certificate of change and correction of household registration items. Citizens to correct or change the name, gender, ethnic composition, date of birth, citizenship number and other five household registration items, or due to the migration of household registration, household registration books can not prove the need to issue corresponding certificates, the public security police station shall consult the household registration files and issue them.
2. Proof of account cancellation. If a citizen needs to issue a certificate of account cancellation due to death, active service, joining a foreign nationality, going abroad to settle down, being sentenced to fixed-term imprisonment, or having a duplicate (false) account cancelled, it shall be issued by the police station.
3. Proof of kinship. The kinship and historical household registration files of the same household can be reflected, and if it is necessary to issue a certificate, it will be issued by the police station after verification.
4. The identity certificate of the abducted child. After investigation and verification by the case-handling unit of the public security department, it is considered that the child is a victim of trafficking and registered in the household registration. If a certificate is required, it will be issued after verification by the police station.
5. Pick up the abandoned baby (child) report certificate. If the public security department accepts the case of picking up abandoned babies (children) in the process of performing their duties according to law and needs to issue a certificate, the public security police station shall verify it and issue it.
6. Abnormal death certificate. If the abnormal death cases (events) handled by the public security department according to law (except those handled by medical and health institutions) need to be certified, they shall be issued by the public security police station according to the investigation and inspection results of the relevant public security departments.
7. Temporary identification. For those who urgently need to board a plane, take a train, take a long-distance bus, ship, stay in a hotel or take a national examination prescribed by law, and are unable to show their legal identity documents due to reasons such as loss, theft, forgetting to bring them, the police stations in airports, railway stations, ports and hotels will check the identity of the personnel approved by the national population information system and indicate the validity period, so as to temporarily take a plane, train, long-distance bus, ship, stay in a hotel and take the examination. The people's court is responsible for informing criminals of the effective criminal judgment documents and other relevant information, and the public security organs, state security organs, people's procuratorates and judicial administrative organs are responsible for accepting, examining and handling applications for criminal records.
