The National Ocean Information Center is a public welfare institution directly under the State Oceanic Administration, which manages the national marine information resources, provides information business and technical support services for the national marine economic construction, sea area use management and marine environmental protection, and provides operational guidance and coordination for the national marine information work.
National Ocean Information Center (including National Ocean Information Center, ARGO Information Center of China, Ocean Archives and China Business Center of International Ocean College) is the storage center of World Ocean Information Center (WDC), National Coordinator of Information Exchange Committee of UNESCO Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission (IODE), China National Input and Service Center of United Nations Water Science and Fisheries Information System (ASFA), and documents and publications of IOC in China.
