Basic situation of Chengxi Port Area in Jiujiang City

It connects east and west along the Yangtze River and connects north and south with Beijing and Kowloon. Land and water transportation is very developed, and it is an important intermodal hub of Sichuan, Han, Nanjing and Shanghai. Nine railway trunk lines, two national highways and five expressways pass through the territory. Jiujiang, as the only open city and port city along the Yangtze River in Jiangxi Province, has hundreds of docks, a national export processing zone, and complete ports, customs, commodity inspection, quarantine and shipping. Jiujiang Port is a national first-class open port and one of the top ten ports in the Yangtze River Basin. It can be directly opened to foreign ships, with direct flights to Japan, Russian, Taiwan Province, Hongkong and Southeast Asian countries and regions, and has opened feeder container flights from Jiujiang to Shanghai to major ports in the world. Jiujiang has low business cost, convenient transportation, wide economic hinterland, large market radius and excellent resource endowment, which has attracted a large number of well-known domestic and foreign enterprises such as Japanese Suzuki, Singaporean Golden Eagle, American cabot, Huiyuan Juice, Taiwan Province Far East, Hong Kong Hua Fu and China Minmetals to settle in Jiujiang. An industrial system with petrochemical, textile, electric power, building materials, shipbuilding, machinery, electronics and other pillar industries as the backbone has been initially formed. Chengxi Port Area of Jiujiang City is the core area of Jiangxi Province's overall development strategy along the Yangtze River, the main plate and platform of Jiujiang's "one core, two axes and six boards" spatial structure, and the main carrier of Jiujiang's urban development pattern of "expanding the port city to the west". It is located in the west of Jiujiang City, bordering the Yangtze River in the north and Saicheng Lake in the south. The planned area is 5 1 km2, and the first phase development is 14.92 km2. It will be built into a modern port-facing new city with beautiful environment, vitality and scientific development, which integrates high-level urban new areas, high-level industrial clusters and high-standard port business service areas.
