There are several first-class water conservancy supervision companies in Hunan.

Hunan Grade A water conservancy supervision companies include Hunan Dejiang Supervision Co., Ltd. and Hunan Water Conservancy and Hydropower Engineering Supervision and Contracting Corporation. Established in 1999, Hunan Dejiang Supervision Co., Ltd. has the qualifications of Grade A supervision of water conservancy project construction, Grade B supervision of water and soil conservation project construction and Grade B preparation of water and soil conservation scheme. Hunan Water Conservancy and Hydropower Engineering Supervision and Contracting Corporation was established in 1993. It is an economic entity with independent legal personality, which is fully funded by Hunan Water Conservancy and Hydropower Survey and Design Institute and operates according to the modern enterprise system.
