Reason for automobile recall: For the vehicles within the scope of this recall, the front trim panel and the middle trim panel of the roof are installed on the top of the vehicle with adhesive, and at the same time, primer is needed to increase the adhesion between them. Because the primer on the surface of some vehicle roof trim panels may be insufficient, the adhesion of the trim panels may weaken over time, and in extreme cases, the trim panels may fall off the vehicle. If the decorative plate falls off the vehicle during driving, it will increase the risk of collision or injury of vehicles behind the road, especially motorcycles, and there are potential safety hazards. ?
Manufacturer's solution: Tesla Motors (Beijing) Co., Ltd. will test the vehicles within the recalled scope free of charge and conduct a tensile test on the roof trim panel. If the test passes, it means that the primer is sufficient and no further operation is needed; If the test fails, the roof trim panel will be reinstalled to eliminate safety hazards. ?
Emergency measures: Before the vehicle is recalled for maintenance, the owner should drive the vehicle carefully and contact the service center for maintenance as soon as possible after the recall begins. ?
