China-Japan Friendship Hospital:
The hospital was established in June 1949 1 1, formerly known as the School of Surgery, Changchun Medical University, China, and located at No.829 Xinmin Street, Changchun City. 1July, 1993, the main body of the hospital moved to No.26, Sendai Street, Changchun City, thus forming a trinity pattern of headquarters, two departments (located in Xinmin Street) and three departments (located in Kaiyun Street 1433), in which the headquarters covers an area of 20 1900 square meters, and the building.
The new hospital was built using land allocated by Jilin Provincial People's Government and Changchun Municipal People's Government, infrastructure invested by the Ministry of Health and advanced equipment worth 2.6 billion yen provided by the Japanese government free of charge. The completion of the new hospital is the crystallization of the friendship between the Chinese and Japanese peoples and governments. The hospital was named "The Third Clinical College of Bethune Medical University (China-Japan Friendship Hospital)". In June 2000, five universities including Jilin University and Bethune Medical University merged to form a new Jilin University, and the hospital was renamed as "Jilin University China-Japan Friendship Hospital".
