You need to go to the household registration section of the local police station to reissue your ID card (some provinces and cities can handle it in different places, please consult relevant departments for details):
1. The applicant brings the household registration book to the police station where the household registration is located to apply for a second-generation resident identity card.
2. Carry out portrait collection and fingerprint collection.
3. Pay the fee, sign the registration form for issuing resident identity cards and leave the contact number.
4. Within the specified time for obtaining the certificate, the applicant will go to the police station with the certificate to receive the second-generation resident ID card.
Article 3 of the Law on Resident Identity Cards shall include the following items: name, gender, nationality, date of birth, location of permanent residence, citizenship number, personal photo, fingerprint information, validity period of certificate and issuing authority. Citizenship number is a unique and life-long identity code for every citizen, which is compiled by public security organs according to the national standard of citizenship number. Citizens applying for obtaining, renewing or replacing resident identity cards shall register their fingerprint information. At first, it will show that it has passed the audit, and then wait at home after the online payment is successful. Generally, citizens who will use it in two or three days shall apply to the public security organ where their permanent residence is located within three months from the date of reaching the age of 16. To apply for a resident identity card, you should fill in the Registration Form for the Application of Resident Identity Card and submit the residence booklet.
You can report the loss of your ID card nearby, and you don't have to wait for time to go back to your hometown to reissue it. If your ID card is lost or stolen in a different place, you can report it to the nearest household registration police station or registration hall.
Those who meet the conditions for accepting resident identity cards in different places can go through the replacement procedures at the acceptance point in different places. As long as I apply for renewal or replacement of my resident ID card at the acceptance point of my resident ID card in different places, I will fill out the Registration Form for Acceptance of Resident ID Card in Different Places.
