How to raise seedlings of loofah seeds

Seed breeding of Luffa should start with seed soaking disinfection, germination accelerating method, sowing method and seedling management.

1, seed soaking and disinfection

Soak the loofah seeds in the sun for 2-3 days before soaking, soak them in 10% trisodium phosphate for 20 minutes for disinfection, then soak them in warm water at 60-70℃ for1kloc-0/5 minutes, and continue soaking for 4-6 hours when the water temperature drops to 30℃.

2. Method of accelerating germination

Soak and disinfect the loofah seeds, take them out and put them in an environment of 28-30℃ to accelerate germination. Rinse with clean water 1-2 times a day, including clean emery cloth wrapped with seeds, and sow after about 3-4 days.

3. Sowing method

The survival rate of towel gourd transplantation is low. Generally, direct seeding is adopted, with 2-3 seeds per hole, and the depth is 1-2cm. The seeds should be laid flat, and the field water capacity of the soil is 75%. If it is too dry, you can water it slightly, and cover it with hay after sowing to keep it warm and moist.

4. Seedling management

Luffa usually emerges in 4-6 days. After the seedlings are unearthed, the temperature should be lowered appropriately. If the water is insufficient at the seedling stage, it should be properly watered or sprayed, and attention should be paid to the prevention and control of pests and diseases. When the seedlings grow 2-3 true leaves, they can be planted.

Planting time of towel gourd seedlings

1, spring towel gourd

Generally speaking, in the north, loofah will be planted around Tomb-Sweeping Day in spring, while the weather temperature in the south is suitable for planting loofah earlier, so it can be planted in February.

2. Summer loofah

Summer loofah is planted from late April to early July, and will be listed from June to 65438+ 10, but this time period can be adapted to local conditions.

3. Autumn loofah

Autumn loofah is suitable for August-September. Feng Chun Luffa, Xia Xuan Luffa, Yalu 1 Luffa are suitable for autumn planting, and common Luffa are watermelon and green Luffa.

4, winter loofah

In winter, the time for planting loofah in greenhouse is about 1 1 month, and it can be harvested in February and March of the following year, but it is necessary to ensure good lighting and heat preservation performance in greenhouse to meet the growth requirements of loofah in winter.
