What should an enterprise information supervisor do?

CIOs should look at their responsibilities from a strategic perspective.

The CIO is responsible for strategic information management.

(5) Establish and maintain a positive IT culture and cultivate good relations with all classes.

The skills requirements of CIO position include: strong business orientation, understanding the business organization process and development trend of industries and enterprises; Solve business problems with IT capabilities and advantages, while controlling costs and risks; Identify, judge and evaluate the applicability of new technology development to enterprise business; Fully communicate and understand the needs of internal non-technical departments and employees; Excellent organizational skills, centralized management of information systems and applications, and coordination of enterprise resources; Complete the conceptual design, project start-up and project completion of multiple IT projects with good quality and quantity within the specified time and budget; A good listener, an active team builder, a clear-cut advocate of enterprise IT vision, and a person who works tacitly with enterprise management team.

In addition to the above, the CIO must also do the following:

1. Be responsible for the overall planning, organization and development of information engineering of the company (group) and its subsidiaries;

2. Participate in the strategic planning of digital projects of the Group and serve the operation and management of the Group;

3. Establish and improve the information management system and supervise the implementation, and clarify the post responsibilities;

4. Be responsible for implementing the management and control process of informatization projects and formulating the company's network architecture scheme;

5. Be responsible for the team building of the Information Department.
