Rational (rational) emotional therapy
fundamental principle
Founder: The core theory of Ellis is ABL theory (or ABCDE theory), in which A is the induced event and B is the belief, [it is the emotional response and the behavioral result (0 refers to the unreasonable belief of the individual in the argument and E refers to the effect of consultation).
A is not the direct cause of L, L is an unreasonable and undisclosed belief, and B leads to emotional distress and neurosis; The core of therapy is to change unreasonable beliefs through rational analysis and logical speculation, so as to change and control the emotional and behavioral results.
Second, human nature is both rational and irrational.
Third, a reasonable belief:
① Based on facts; 2 make yourself happy; (3) achieve the goal; 4 don't get into trouble; ⑤ Eliminate inner conflicts.
Fourth, unreasonable beliefs.
① Based on speculation; 2 let yourself worry; 3 stay away from the target 4 get into trouble; (5) causing inner conflicts.
Verb (short for verb) working procedure:
1, diagnosis stage: looking for unreasonable beliefs of tomato clusters, looking for help seekers, and explaining ABL theory to visitors.
2. Understanding stage (realization of three-point stool and ruler)
(1) It is belief that causes emotional and behavioral consequences, not the triggering event itself;
② Help-seekers are responsible for their emotional and behavioral reactions;
③ Only by changing B can the symptoms be alleviated and eliminated.

The debate form of midwifery: generally from "as you say …" to "therefore …" and then to "therefore", that is, "three-stage inference" until fallacies and contradictions are formed. Psychological counselors use contradictions to make visitors have to admit contradictions, force visitors to change unreasonable beliefs and finally establish reasonable beliefs.
Eight, the three main characteristics of irrational beliefs
1, absolutely:
(1) golden rule (unreasonable), what I do to others, others must do to me.
Golden Rule (Reason): Treat others as you want them to treat you.
2. Overgeneralization: The doctor doesn't care about me at all.
3. Terrible: "My life is a mess".
