Hechi, referred to as "River", is a prefecture-level city in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, People's Republic of China (PRC). It is located in the north of Guangxi, at the southern foot of Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau, 3 14 km away from Guilin, the city with the best scenery. The territory is diverse in topography, complex in structure, high in the northwest and low in the southeast. Located at low latitude, it belongs to subtropical monsoon climate zone, which governs 2 districts and 9 counties with a total area of 33,500 square kilometers. According to the data of the seventh census, as of 0: 00 1 1 on June 2020, the resident population of Hechi City was 34 17945.
Hechi's "five verticals and seven horizontals" national trunk line passes through the territory, which is the throat fortress of the southwest sea passage and the hub where people, logistics, capital and information flow gather and meet in Nanguikun Economic Zone, Pan-Pearl River Delta Economic Zone and ASEAN Free Trade Zone. Hechi is a key area for Guangxi to implement the western development. Hechi is a multi-ethnic city dominated by Zhuang nationality, and it is one of the regions with the largest number of ethnic minorities in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. ?
Hechi has rich natural landscape and beautiful scenery, including Xiajian River, Nandan Hot Spring and Liu Jia Little Three Gorges in Yizhou area. Among them, the karst holy land-Huanjiang Maonan Autonomous County was rated as "World Heritage".
