Binzhou-Laiwu expressway (referred to as "Binlai Expressway" for short) is the "one vertical" of Shandong "five vertical, four horizontal, one ring and eight links" expressway network, numbered S29.
Binlai expressway is the first mountain expressway in Shandong Province, and it is an important part of the main framework of "five verticals, four horizontals and one ring of Shandong". It runs through Zhongshan District of Lu Lu and connects Binzhou, Zibo and Laiwu. It is one of the highway construction projects with the highest technical content, the most difficult construction and the most arduous task in Shandong Province.
The construction standard of Binlai expressway is from the mountain to Chongqiu expressway, with a subgrade width of 23 meters and a pavement width of 20.5 meters. Fully enclosed interchange, two-way four lanes, median1.5m wide. There are 3 tunnels, 2 extra-large bridges, 3 large bridges, 2 separation interchanges and interchange 1. The longest tunnel is 8 14m, the left-right conjoined tunnel and the split tunnel. The project started in June 1996 and was completed and opened to traffic at the end of September 1999.
Binlai Expressway has entrances and exits of Gaoqingbei, Gaoqing, Huantai, Zibo New District, Zichuan, Boshan, Hezhuang and Miaoshan.
