Shaoyang Vocational and Technical College, referred to as Shaoyang Vocational College for short, is a public full-time ordinary higher vocational college approved by the Hunan Provincial People's Government and filed by the Ministry of Education. Shaoyang Vocational and Technical College was established in 2003, which was formed by the merger of the former Shaoyang Economic and Trade School (1952), Shaoyang Electromechanical Engineering School (1979) and Shaoyang Agricultural School (1957).
The college consists of three departments: elevator engineering college, automobile and intelligent manufacturing college, information technology and creativity department, accounting and business department, bioengineering department, architectural engineering department, five-year college department, public education department, ideological and political education department and continuing education and training college. Hunan advanced equipment manufacturing demonstration professional group construction project 1 unit.
There are two key specialties supported by the central government to improve the development ability of professional service industry, two vocational education training bases supported by the central government, and a productive training base for school-enterprise cooperation in Hunan Province 1 unit. 20 16 became one of the first batch of "Hunan Enterprise Talent Training Demonstration Bases", and 20 17 was awarded "Hunan New Professional Farmers Training Demonstration Base" by the Provincial Agriculture Committee.
