Luoyang Institute of Science and Technology is a full-time undergraduate college in Henan Province, located in Luoyang, the sub-center of the Central Plains urban agglomeration, which is the first batch of national historical and cultural cities, the ancient capital of the 13th Dynasty and known as the "Millennium Imperial Capital and Peony Flower City".
The history of Luoyang Institute of Technology can be traced back to Sanmenxia Hydropower School, which was founded in 1956. Then it went through the development stages of Luoyang Geological Exploration School and Luoyang Building Materials Industry School. 1June 1993, the school was renamed as Luoyang Institute of Technology. In March 2007, with the approval of the Ministry of Education, Luoyang Institute of Technology merged with Luoyang University and was upgraded to Luoyang Institute of Technology.
