Pay attention to parents' classroom

Hello, parents, welcome to the concerned parents' class in the psychological center.

We want to make the attention class into three parts: children's class, teachers' class and parents' class. The current situation is that we are full of confidence in the children's classroom and have just freed up our hands to be a parent classroom. We are full of confidence in our children's class, because this is our second attention class. Last semester, in the second half of the course, we were very happy to find the progress of our children. Even, the progress of some children is not limited to attention classes, but has been transferred to his daily study and life. This is also one of the important reasons why we should insist on continuing to do this course. One of the advantages of last semester is that you can attend classes twice a week. The continuity of the courses helps to shape children's positive behavior. Therefore, we expect you to join our study and practice and adopt effective educational attitudes and strategies in daily life, which is of great benefit to children's development. Now, you have brought your child to our attention class. Next, it's time for us to practice by ourselves. I hope we can grow into a person who can manage ourselves effectively with children.

Many parents come to us with their own questions about attention improvement courses. Here, I choose a few representative questions to share with you.

Answer: We judge whether a child has attention problems by his behavior. At school, the head teacher knows the daily performance of children best. At home, he is the parent who mainly takes care of children. We learn about children in these two ways. Parents who signed up for the course have already filled out an application form. External and internal 18 behaviors help us to judge whether children are inattentive, hyperactive and impulsive. If your answer is mostly "yes", you need to pay special attention to your child's attention; If it's below 4, you hardly need to worry, as long as you continue the correct parenting style. Of course, our parents must have a deep understanding that if children really have attention problems, they hardly need an evaluation form to tell you. Yes, I also know that a child with attention problems will definitely get used to it at school. There may be troubles in study, interpersonal communication and daily life, and the class teacher will definitely talk to you. These troubles will directly remind you: hey, get to know the child's situation and see what the problem is!

Answer: Children before the age of five always "can't sit still" because of the imperfect brain development, high excitability and poor nervous system inhibition. At school age, with the gradual maturity of the nervous system, children's concentration will gradually improve. Therefore, knowing the limitations of children's physical development can truly understand children's behavior. Some children who are inattentive and active may be labeled as "ADHD", but only a few are really ADHD. ADHD, the technical term is attention deficit disorder (ADHD). ADHD is not only a psychological cause, but also directly related to the abnormality of brain function and neurochemical conductive substances. This situation requires medication besides psychotherapy. There is a difference between ADHD and ADHD. One of the most intuitive ways to tell is whether children have obvious hobbies and can concentrate on what they like. If children's active behavior has seriously affected their normal academic life, parents are advised to seek advice and help from professional institutions.

Answer: Unfortunately, I can only say "no" to this question. Psychological research shows that without proper guidance and help, attention problems will have a serious negative impact on children's study, life and interpersonal relationships, and have a far-reaching impact on children's development. The development path of most children is: curious baby-devoted child-studious teenager-promising youth ... and the opposite may be: ADHD child-problem of juvenile-self-abased youth ... So if children's attention problems are found, they should be intervened and trained as soon as possible, and the earlier they start, the better the effect. The best thing is that there are many research results about the causes of attention problems and intervention methods, which we can refer to and apply.

Answer: Many parents care about how our curriculum works, and I am particularly willing to share this, because the more you know about the curriculum, the more likely you are to transfer effective methods to your daily life and that of your children.

Attention is the most important research field in psychology and cognitive neuroscience, with a lot of research results and clinical practice experience. Our concept and scheme of event design refer to many proven research results.

1. Children's basic abilities are exercised in activities: listening carefully, watching carefully, observing carefully, expressing accurately, waiting in line and handling conflicts;

2. Children mobilize the ability of various senses to capture information, and the attention of various senses such as hearing, vision and touch is exercised;

3. Strengthen the observance of the rules, the rules of the stadium and the rules of each game;

4. Dynamic games train children's attention distribution ability, reaction ability, balance ability, body coordination ability and coordination ability of various senses;

5. Static games cultivate children's concentration and stability. etc

Many games are parent-child activities that parents can usually do with their children. We will have a special space to introduce these games and how to play with their children.

Psychological teachers can understand children from the perspective of the causes and development laws of problems, and know that the problem behavior is not out of the child's original heart, but the limitations of development and the influence of the environment. Because of understanding, I accept every child more sincerely, giving children a real sense of security. The teacher who leads the activities is like a model student, demonstrating correct performance and problem-solving methods, and children will understand through observation. At the same time, teachers will communicate with children in the right way, such as using short and clear instructions to find the positive behavior of children in time and affirm it. Besides gentle and firm language, warm expressions and body language are also important ways of communication.

? These methods that are effective in the classroom are equally effective in parents' daily education. I will introduce it to parents in detail later.

Reinforcement is an effective way to shape behavior, so we designed a reward system to match our rule system. Show positive behavior, and there is no violation, children can get favorite stickers; If there is a serious foul, the teacher will take back the sticker. If you accumulate a certain amount, you can exchange your favorite small gifts, and different amounts can be exchanged for different things. Many children will be willing to wait to exchange their favorite gifts, so that they can accumulate more small stickers.

Parents can also design such a reward system for their children at home. When you want to shape any good habit of your child, you will find it very effective. The key to the effectiveness of this method lies in two points: first, the goals and rules are formulated together with the children, and they are recognized and agreed by the children. Children are very clear about what behaviors will be rewarded and what behaviors will be cancelled; Secondly, children can be rewarded by accumulating tokens (which can be points, stickers and marks, as agreed with children) to an agreed number, instead of directly rewarding physical objects, such as going to a favorite place or buying a long-awaited toy. Using tokens instead of direct rewards in kind can effectively combine spiritual rewards with material rewards and prevent children from doing things just for material rewards. Parents and children are advised to make a record sheet and stick it on the wall.

? It's not easy for adults to keep their attention, so let's stop here today. Thank you for your attention to us just now. See you next time.
