What do you mean, good relationship?
"Fate" is relationship. Establishing a relationship is called marriage, the relationship that has been negotiated with each other is called fate, the relationship that is selfish and altruistic is called good karma, and the relationship that does not involve selfish desires is called jing yuan. Many good deeds with jing yuan are called making good deeds. Therefore, some people, after learning Buddhism, go around the track, become attached to everyone, become exhausted, are busy socializing, and protect the law, say and preach unprincipled. Without self-study, there is no fixed way to pay and contribute. On the surface, they did form a good relationship with many people. But in fact, they did not help people, themselves and the Dojo deeply, powerfully or effectively. Although it can be seen everywhere, it is not necessarily needed everywhere; Although many people have access to them, few people can really get strong help from them. This way of forming a good relationship is like giving a person a bowl of rice, barely enough to eat, and giving a person a stone of rice can last for half a year; On the contrary, if you give a bowl of rice to a hundred people who are about to starve to death, the result is that no one can survive. However, if you give this bowl of rice to a person, you can at least let this person live one more day. Therefore, if you give 10,000 people who are about to starve to death a bucket of rice, it is of course a good relationship, but the result is that no one can live one more day. So we should have principles and do what we can. If you have the ability to help the whole world without worrying about want, you should give it equally, without restrictions or differences, without any distance or care; If there is only a weak force, we should concentrate our efforts and choose the objects that need urgent help and protection. For example, give priority to people who are familiar, close and deeply related to themselves, that is, family, relatives, teachers and friends; Otherwise, it is unrealistic to want to make friends with others. From the standpoint of Sambo, a good marriage means equal pay without discrimination. In other words, all sentient beings, regardless of rank, wealth, power, status and wisdom, are taught by Buddhism. Therefore, Sambo accepts all support and is never picky; Anyone who gives his heart to support, no matter how much, no matter what kind of goods, will accept with compassion and joy. In the era of Buddha Sakyamuni, monks were all like this. They beg for food every day and go door to door, regardless of the type and quality of food, and accept whatever they have until they are full or moderate. This is a good relationship with an equal heart, which is the so-called "a bowl of thousands of rice, the breadth is doomed." It is certainly a good thing to give to others, and it is also a good thing to accept giving. Because the average person's financial resources, material resources, physical strength, intelligence and time are very limited, if you make friends blindly and unprincipled, it will not only be ineffective, but also bring unnecessary trouble. Sometimes, although I have tried my best, and even affected my family's livelihood and personal health, the response is resentment and doubt, and the result is more likely to lose confidence and conscience. The Buddha once warned his disciples in the Classic of Heritage that a monk begging for the world should be like a bee gathering honey from flowers, and the color and fragrance of flowers should not be damaged. Therefore, if the layman doesn't try his best to get along well, you may get hurt because of the three treasures, although it doesn't mean to hurt you. Isn't it silly to ask for a promotion and degenerate? Therefore, the protection of the three treasures should be centered, focused and principled. We should help the poor and the sick, but we should also distinguish between priorities and distance, and we must be unrealistic and blindly emphasize equal pay. In fact, principled and important protection and charity are also one of the ways to establish a good relationship. For example, if a person becomes a Buddha, the Buddha will be able to educate all beings, and you will indirectly form a good relationship with all beings. Therefore, Chapter 42 says: "It is better to have a meal than a good man; A thousand good people are better than one who holds the five commandments; Ten thousand people who hold the five commandments are not as good as a meal (the first fruit is holy). " Even people who don't repair or get it have greater merits, and so on. Support, charity and protection can be divided into two key points: 1. Protecting people, events and undertakings that have a great influence on the present and future of Buddhism is to make a good marriage. 2. For your respected Buddhist figure and his career, even if he is unknown, as long as he deserves your respect and is willing to protect him, it is enough to prove that this figure has a subtle effect, which is also a good relationship. From these two points, we can see that the sponsorship and protection of Buddhist celebrities and their careers may not be the icing on the cake; For the support and charity of unknown Buddhist figures and their causes, we should not have the idea of giving timely help. The most important thing is to grasp the key points and do what you can. (The Feast Master wrote "Confusion of Learning Buddha") Q: "I don't like to talk when I am chanting Buddha now. I don't want to say anything when I am polite. I don't want to say anything more. This is very indifferent to the fate of many beings. Is this unkind? Or less wisdom? " A: This question is a personal one. "I now have a heavy karma and little wisdom. I concentrate on Buddhism, seeking stability and wisdom. " This is a good thing. I won't make friends with all beings for the time being. "But I will return all my merits and demerits to all sentient beings." I have become attached to all beings, and I don't have to talk to them. "I will repay all living beings for what I have learned", which is a good fate. The fate of speech sometimes leads to bad fate, but it is not necessarily a good fate; Just return your spiritual merits to the pure and good law. With their kung fu achievements, wisdom has expanded all beings. It is a good thing that we divide practice into these stages, which is very legal.
