The Development History of Beijing Railway Station
Beijing Railway Station is located atNo. MAO house bay hutong 13, Dongcheng District, Beijing. Beijing Railway Station was built in the 27th year of Guangxu in Qing Dynasty (190 1). The original site is located in the east of Zhengyangmen Wengcheng, which was built in the 29th year of Guangxu reign of Qing Dynasty (1903). Formerly known as "Zhengyangmen East Station of Jingfeng Railway" (Zhengyangmen East Station). Historically, Qianmen Station, Beijing Station, Beiping Station, Beiping East Station and Xingcheng Station have been used.
September 30th 1949, renamed as "Beijing Railway Station". By the end of 20 17, Beijing Railway Station covers an area of 250,000 square meters. The total construction area is 80,000 square meters. The station layout is in series, which is divided into arrival and departure yard, handover yard and shunting yard. The building of Beijing Railway Station faces south, with a width of 218m from east to west, a maximum depth of124m from north to south, a building area of 71054m, and an area of 40,000m2 in front of the station.
