Fengcheng area belongs to the hilly landform type of Liaodong Mountain, and the northern part is erosive structural landform above 1000 meters above sea level. The middle part is a hilly region with moderate cutting, which belongs to the stage landform with decreasing structure in turn. From the south to the coast of the Yellow Sea, it gradually becomes an undulating strip plain with a low hill width of several tens of kilometers.
Traffic trunk lines such as Shendan Railway, Shang Feng Railway and Shendan expressway run through Fengcheng City. Fengcheng has many scenic spots and historic sites, rich in tourism resources, including Phoenix Mountain, a national AAAA-level scenic spot, Dalishu Village, a national agricultural tourism demonstration site, Yulong Lake Scenic Area and other tourist attractions.

Fengcheng city belongs to a humid continental monsoon climate zone with four distinct seasons. The annual average temperature is 7.9℃, the average maximum temperature 14℃, and the average minimum temperature is 2.6℃. Maximum frost-free period 173 days, minimum 138 days, and average frost-free period 156 days.
Fengcheng Mountain is densely forested and rich in wild resources. There are 998 species of higher plants belonging to 404 genera in 8 1 family, and dozens of edible fungi such as auricularia auricula and hazelnut mushroom. There are dozens of wild vegetables such as bracken, celery and spiny dragon buds, dried and fresh fruits such as chestnut and walnut, and rare animals and plants such as magnolia and giant salamander.
