Can ants swim?

Ants can't swim. Ants are usually put in water, but they don't sink to the bottom. The reason is that ants keep balance on the water surface through tiny cilia on their legs and the tension of the water surface. But if you break this balance, the ants will soon sink to the bottom.

Ants are experts in architecture. There are many compartments in the nest, and these compartments have their own uses. Among them, the queen ant has the largest compartment. There is an ant in the desert, whose nest looks like a castle from a distance, 4.5 meters high. When those nests are abandoned, they will be used by some animals as their own nests. The bottom of the nest is for the queen. The queen's task is to eat, mate and have children. The ant nest is solid, safe and comfortable, and the roads extend in all directions. There is also a circle of soil outside the ant nest, and there are some places to store food. Ventilation is cool, warm in winter and cool in summer, and food is not easy to deteriorate.
