Interview with Beijing Auto Show: Pu Yang, General Manager of Weilai Region

Moderator: Thank you, General Manager Pu, for coming to interview us in spite of his busy schedule. Come and tell us about your overall feelings about this Beijing Auto Show. What kind of feelings?

Puyang: Before the Beijing Auto Show, we were still talking internally. This year's Beijing Auto Show is the only A-class auto show in the world. Then, in fact, this year's Beijing Auto Show is particularly important for the automobile industry, because it is expected that there may be a large-scale decline in automobile sales. In fact, if we really look at the specific figures in the first half of this year, the general figures have not changed much, which is related to our success in fighting the epidemic. Including the return of consumer confidence, in our view, this Beijing auto show may be the most important one in previous Beijing auto shows, because the epidemic situation, the whole development of automobiles, the development of new energy automobile industry and the development of smart cars are all the same concept in the first year. I haven't had time to really change this year. I just watched car home's strategy and am going to look at other brands.

Moderator: In 2020, you also said that under the influence of the epidemic, have we made some adjustments to the overall operation in 2020 in response to the changes in the epidemic?

Puyang: After the epidemic comes, it will actually bring about several different changes in the environment. The first one is that people actually have some resistance to this kind of business trip, and then they want to have their own mobile space, so you will find that more and more people are willing to travel by car.

Secondly, because of this epidemic, our national mood has reached a relatively good state, so you will find that China's automobile brands will also make a good progress in this process.

Third, a brand like ours has achieved a relatively complete image in the word-of-mouth and mind of the client after many changes in the past. Therefore, for us, this year is a year of continuous improvement, expansion and enrichment of our service capabilities. You will see our own customer service center in Beijing, and the opening of new stores is generally a good development process.

Compere: Yes, I see many other brands have brought some new cars to the Beijing Auto Show. We are still those limited editions, but we have released a software smart car machine. Can you tell us why we release a software?

Puyang: Actually, we made a large-scale appearance in Beijing for the first time. We ES6, a high-performance intelligent SUV that we call in its prime, really let everyone see it for the first time, and then really started to deliver this model the day before the Beijing Auto Show. Besides, it's very different. In other words, how to turn your car into a new one after the car enters the intelligent age, not just on your hardware. The material on the modeling has changed, and the change of software makes you feel very different. For example, the 2.7 software we released this time will make the whole vehicle have brand-new functions. For example, the whole automatic overtaking, automatic driving according to the navigation map, like I live in Yizhuang, Beijing, where I go to work every day is Oriental Plaza, and my route is basically the Fifth Ring Road, G2 Expressway and Third Ring Road. Now I basically press the button on the fifth ring, so I don't have to do the rest of the work when I get out of the ring, which will save me a lot of time. To some extent, it changes not only the whole experience of buying a new car. This is a direction for the future development of many automobile brands.

Compere: Now we have participated in the Beijing Auto Show, and we also have models we want to sell. Which car do you think is the most suitable to recommend to netizens now?

Puyang: All three of our cars are great. Of course, our ES6 is the most popular. I still remember that in bad times, China Mobile had an advertisement calling me Yes. In my mind, the ES6 is an all-round electric SUV, which is very suitable for the scene of this emerging family in terms of safety, including styling space, and now we have a special preferential project, that is, free power exchange for life, and the same is true for the ES6. Just now, we said that in June 5438+1October, we can upgrade the 2.7 software to get more functions. Our most popular model is also the one that we hope everyone can experience the test drive.

Moderator: I see. I also want to ask, that is, the car model in our Weilai model, because the car is still a relatively large base in the auto market. Do we have any products that can be realized quickly in this respect?

Puyang: Great questions, including myself. I am especially looking forward to having my own car. Our NIO this year? God, it should be held in Chengdu at the end of this year, NIO every year? Day is a gathering of users and the day when our new products are released. For example, last year we released the ES6, and this year we will release a car. Of course, the specific information is still in the confidential stage. Give us a little more time, but we are very, very looking forward to it.

Moderator: OK. I also think the service of our Weilai brand is also very good. Can you tell us what is the biggest advantage of our new car manufacturer in the fierce market environment?

Puyang: I think it may be partly an advantage. I prefer to describe it as differentiation. For example, in Weilai, we insist on providing China consumers with a car that they are proud of. A car that everyone feels comfortable in various scenarios, a car with high performance, smart beauty, good materials and good service, in fact, the price of the car also determines the overall difference of the car. For example, the price of 200,000 and the price of 400,000 will have different advantages.

Moderator: OK, the last question is for you. How to treat the development trend of Weilai car dealers?

Puyang: Actually, we are very happy to see that many car dealers have obviously changed their car services. Then today, a friend of ours had an accident with his car. After the trailer arrived soon, my friend said where to pick up the car, and then the store would tell him where I would deliver it to you. This kind of service sounds reasonable, but in fact, there are very few car dealers two or three years in advance.

We can clearly see that many other emerging brands, including Weilai, continue to join the market and provide better services because of more full competition in the market. In fact, to some extent, the simplicity I just cited is a small example. I believe there are more and more ways. I also heard that some dealers are willing to provide users with one-on-one exclusive after-sales service. Of course, many are aimed at relatively high-end models. I think at least this.

Therefore, we believe that the development like this will continue to progress, and we will strive to do better in the future. Then more and more people in the industry will come to see us do this, which will make more and more users experience different. In fact, I also keep gasoline cars, and I can also feel the constant changes of these services of gasoline car brands.

On the other hand, in Weilai, in addition to these basic services, we are still emphasizing (young people's cars). For example, we will build a car owners' club for users. For example, we are in the Oriental Plaza in Beijing. Today, our booth in Weilai Beijing is Weilai Center, which is divided into two floors. The first layer is to introduce our products, our ideas, our technology and lifestyle. The second floor is purely to build space for our car owners. It is the fourth year that we have participated in the auto show, and it is the fourth year that Beijing Auto Show and Shanghai Auto Show have participated. This year, you are glad to see that many other brands are providing such space for their user partners and media, but I think this is a very, very good direction, which makes more and more people feel that Beijing Auto Show is no longer a sightseeing place, but a different feeling of truly owning a car brand. This is a very good thing.
