What happens when leaders are marginalized in the workplace?

First, the right to speak has become less. When you are not marginalized, you are in an important position. When the general unit has important matters or major decisions, the leaders will ask for your opinions in advance and discuss with you. They will attach great importance to your opinions and take your concerns into account when making decisions. But when you are marginalized, the situation is different. You will feel that you have less meetings and less right to speak. Leaders won't ask your opinion before making a decision, or just ask for it symbolically, or even let them know in advance.

Second, the attitude has become polite. You used to be at the core level, and the leaders would be more enthusiastic about you. In addition to communication at work, they may show some concern for your life and even make some jokes in life. After being marginalized, the communication between the leader and you is limited to the communication at work, and there are fewer and fewer other communication meetings. When you tell the leader about things other than work, the leader will prevaricate you with things like busy work, and sometimes he will treat you with polite Mandarin, which makes you feel very uncomfortable.

Third, the number of criticisms has increased. In the past, at the core level, if there were some small mistakes, the leader just reminded you to pay attention and improve. Only when you make a big mistake will the leader criticize you in public. But after being marginalized, you will feel that you have been criticized more often in public and your tone is harsh. The same little thing, others will not be criticized for their mistakes, and you may be severely criticized. And it has happened many times, which makes you feel that your ability to work has declined.

Fourth, began to be alienated. Not only will the original core members alienate you, rarely contact you, or even don't want to contact you. It turns out that some subordinates who are still begging you to work for him have also begun to alienate you and no longer beg you to work for him. The attitude of people who usually want to get in touch with you has obviously changed, and even some people have begun to avoid you intentionally or unintentionally. The person who originally thought of reporting his thoughts to you did not take the initiative to come to you. In short, there will be fewer and fewer people looking for you to do things, and some flatterers will not flatter you.

5. Various decentralization reforms are bothering you. At the core level, it is also related to your reform, but you know this reform in advance, and it is the leadership that makes you bear more important responsibilities. After you were marginalized, you didn't know or knew very little when some reforms of the unit were introduced, although some of them were related to the reform of your work. Through these reforms, you will find that your work has become easier, or your work has been divided, your responsibilities have been shared, your post has been transferred, your funds have been reduced, and your importance in the whole work has naturally decreased.

Sixth, less entertainment. At the core level, the leader may invite you to some private dinners (such as weekend dinners and overtime dinners) or other dinners, where you can contact your feelings and discuss your work. Or some important reception, the leader will let you accompany him to show his attention to you. After being marginalized, they are not allowed to participate in important receptions and leaders, and are naturally excluded from other dinners. You will feel that you have more free time outside of work and more time at your disposal.
