It depends on where you go. Visiting the West Lake is free, but there are many consumption places near the West Lake. It is estimated that there will be opportunities to take you to Hangzhou, such as the Silk Village, Pearl Square, Longjing Village and the fortifications in Lin Biao. I suggest you find a discount ticket online (the price is similar to that of a hard sleeper on a train), take a train and fly to Wuhan, and find a local travel agency when you arrive. The price is not expensive every day.
Don't join any group and show you around. You can buy silk, pearls and tea in legal places designated by shopping malls. Don't be fooled by the tour guide.
Play according to my method, and the round-trip discounted air ticket plus the cost of playing and staying is estimated to be around 1500 for one person.
