10 consulting industry: who is the best local consulting company in China?
2004 is the busiest and most deserted year in China's consulting industry. Its excitement lies in the most newly established consulting companies in the past three years, and its coldness lies in the lowest growth rate of turnover in the consulting industry in recent years. Consulting industry may be the high-growth industry with the lowest entry threshold in China market. Three or five graduates can set up a consulting company with a phone call to integrate the translation of management papers published abroad, and then they can be called "monographs". After reviewing several enterprises, you can declare them as "customers who have served". A consulting project with millions or even tens of millions provides countless colorful dreams for more MBA students who have learned some superficial management knowledge at school, and also brings countless traps to enterprises. The lack of service standards shows that the competition in this market is not fierce. Therefore, instead of asking when the consulting market in China will be standardized, how many consulting companies can be accommodated in the market in China? Maybe one day when the consulting market is saturated, it will be clear. If Zhuo Yuan is the top local consulting company in China, it will definitely cause unanimous opposition from top local consulting companies such as Peking University Zongheng, Xinhua Xin and Hejun Venture. Capgemini, the largest consulting firm in Europe, chose Zhuo Yuan as the target of M&A. Although it can't prove to be "top-notch", it can at least prove to be "genetically excellent". However, some people don't think so. Just as the media exclaimed: "We lost the best local consulting company", another senior partner of Zhuo Yuan, Vice President Meng Fanyu, took the subordinates of Beijing Control Company to start a new stove and took on the heavy responsibility of continuing to build Zhuo Yuan into the "best local". Today, the former Zhuo Yuan has been divided into two parts. Some of them merged with Capgemini to become the pioneers of Capgemini's consulting industry in China, and some of them changed their names to Yuanxun, continuing to strive to realize their dream of "top local consulting company". Apart from the problem of capital chain, another main reason why Zhuo Yuan was acquired by Capgemini was that in 2003, Zhuo Yuan lost to an international consulting company when bidding for two tens of millions of big projects of an aerospace enterprise and a telecommunications enterprise. The failure of these two projects made Li Bo, the president of Zhuo Yuan, realize that it is difficult for local consulting companies lacking experience and consulting resources in international large-scale projects to jump out of the cycle of low cost and small scale. If they want to develop better, joining the arms of international giants may be the most direct and quickest way. Indeed, "low cost and small scale" has almost become the biggest heart disease of local consulting companies. At present, local consulting companies rarely get more than 5 million big orders, while international consulting giants can often easily win tens of millions of consulting projects. Compared with decades of experience of foreign giants and consulting resources all over the world, local enterprises lack qualifications and experience, especially their own unique and practical management methodology. How much did foreign giants earn in China consulting industry? This is an unclear question. In the consulting industry, income has always been taboo. However, openly speaking, the vast majority of "foreign consultants" claim that they are not profitable in China. Under its global settlement system, McKinsey's business in China has been losing money for three consecutive years. McKinsey, which is firmly entrenched in the high-end market of strategic consulting, is still so, and other foreign brands will not be optimistic. However, McKinsey, roland berger, Deloitte and other international consulting companies are all consulting projects of more than 5 million or even10 million in China, while domestic consulting companies rarely get orders of more than 5 million. Judging from the total bidding amount, it is really incomprehensible that "foreign consulting" does not make money in China, but compared with the salary of foreign consulting, it is really understandable that they do not earn much.
