Five steps of educational research

"The general step of selecting a topic is to find the problem first, ask the question, then find the information, analyze the problem, and finally determine the research topic in combination with the reality. There are some misunderstandings in the topic selection: the more fashionable, the better; The more popular, the better; The bigger the better. In fact, being fashionable, popular and big is not necessarily right and good. The characteristics of small-scale research on "grass roots" are seeking cold in the heat, seeking differences in the same, and making a mountain out of a molehill.

(1) Determine the research object: discover the practical problems that must be solved in educational activities, select research topics, analyze, diagnose and affirm the causes of research problems.

(2) Make a research plan: define the overall goal of the research, and design research methods, procedures and monitoring means around the overall goal.

(3) Implement research plan: collect data, formulate and implement effective educational measures.

(4) Summary and evaluation: Collect data, make observation records, carefully modify the action plan according to all kinds of information feedback, and implement new action research until the overall research goal is achieved.
