The creatures on the earth, whether microorganisms, plants or animals, are all "strong" who have survived through hundreds of millions of years of natural selection. In order to adapt to the surrounding environment, many of their roles have undoubtedly evolved to perfection.
When we design robots, we can not only use our imagination to invent and create, but also use some excellent characteristics of biology for our own use. This is the research content of bionics.
Extended data
The bionic principle includes the following seven aspects:
1, bionic movement function. Such as a snake-like robot that imitates the snake's winding movement;
2. Bionic body configuration. Such as biped humanoid robots and quadruped robot dogs that imitate the body structure of human bodies and quadrupeds;
3. Bionic appearance of body surface. For example, a robotic fish that imitates the streamlined contour of the fish surface;
4. Bionic microstructure. Such as artificial skin and artificial muscle that imitate the microstructure of human skin and muscle;
5. Bionic perception of organs. For example, a robot binocular vision system that imitates human eyes;
6. Neurobionics. Such as artificial neural network (ANN) and central pattern generator (CpG) which simulate the nervous system of human brain and cerebellum;
7. Group behavior bionics. For example, the robot soccer team imitates the cooperative behavior of bees, ants, birds and fish schools.
