The library of University of Science and Technology Liaoning was founded in 1948. After nearly 60 years, it has been growing continuously. This museum is located at the northern foot of Qian Shan, adjacent to Anshan High-tech Zone, with beautiful scenery and pleasant scenery. With a building area of 25,600 square meters, it is a modern, multifunctional and comprehensive large-scale library. After decades of development, it has gradually formed a multi-type, multi-language and multi-carrier collection system, which focuses on science and engineering, taking into account social science, management and other disciplines.
Functions of each layer:
First floor: There are dense stacks and network center on the west side of the first floor of the library building, and reader service departments such as copying and typing center and listening reading room are set on the east side.
Second floor: The office area on the east side and the self-study area on the west side of the second floor provide readers with a comfortable and quiet learning environment. There is a multi-function hall and a small conference room that can accommodate about 200 people in the middle.
The third floor: the third floor is mainly a Chinese book lending area.
Four floors: the fourth floor is mainly for foreign language book borrowing area and foreign language periodical reading area. The library adopts the open-shelf borrowing method, and readers can consult any book in the library at will, which provides great convenience for readers.
Fifth floor: the fifth floor is mainly for retrieval and consultation, special literature and multimedia reading room and electronic reading room. There is also a computer room for students to use. The overall layout of the building is reasonable and the functions are complete. It can provide various types and multi-level services such as reference consultation, reading, borrowing, information retrieval, interlibrary loan, document printing, copying and binding.
