The construction of Jinan Science and Technology Innovation City of Chinese Academy of Sciences (hereinafter referred to as Jinan Science and Technology Innovation City) is divided into Phase I, Phase II and Phase III. The first phase is located in the future industrial innovation circle of Qilu Science and Technology Innovation Corridor, covering an area of about 5 square kilometers, and mainly covers a number of major scientific and technological infrastructures such as "manned space flight" and "atmospheric environment simulation system"; The second phase is planned to be about 1 1.5 square kilometers from the first phase, which is mainly used for the construction of supporting facilities and achievement transformation bases; The third phase of the plan extends southward to Ye Xue Lake District, mainly laying out new major projects in the future.
Jinan Science and Technology Innovation City of Chinese Academy of Sciences is located in Zhuangke District, High-tech East Zone, with a planned construction of 5 square kilometers, and is located in the future industrial innovation circle, one of the four innovation circles of Qilu Science and Technology Innovation Corridor. Jinan Science and Technology Innovation City will co-ordinate the economic cooperation projects of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, vigorously promote Jinan to become a comprehensive national science center, and fill the gap in Shandong Province where there are no scientific instruments. Among them, the Institute of Electrical Engineering of Chinese Academy of Sciences will build a national advanced electromagnetic drive technology innovation base.
