The College of Arts and Sciences of Yunnan Normal University, located in Kunming, Yunnan Province, is an independent undergraduate college approved by the Ministry of Education.
The college, formerly known as the Expo College of Yunnan Normal University, was established in 2000. In July 2004, the Expo College of Yunnan Normal University was renamed the College of Arts and Sciences of Yunnan Normal University.
The predecessor of Yunnan Normal University can be traced back to the Teachers College of National Southwest United University, which was born in 1938 (Wuyin year). 1950 National Kunming Teachers College was renamed Kunming Teachers College; 1984 was renamed Yunnan Normal University.
