Zhanjiang, a prefecture-level city in Guangdong Province, formerly known as "Guangzhou Bay" or "Port City", is located at the southernmost tip of Chinese mainland, in the southwest of Guangdong Province, between east longitude109 40 ′ ~10 58 ′ and north latitude 2013 ′.

Most of Zhanjiang's land consists of peninsulas and islands. The terrain is generally high in the central axis, low in the east and west sides, high in the north and low in the middle, with gentle undulations, mostly plains and terraces, with Shuangfengzhang (384 meters) in Lianjiang County in the north as the highest point.
Of the city's total land area, plains account for 66%, hills account for 30.6% and mountains account for 3.4%. The surface (including reservoirs, ponds, ponds and rivers) accounts for 6.4%.

Shuangfeng Mountain (384m above sea level), the highest peak in Zhanjiang, stands side by side with dozens of peaks at an altitude of100-300m, forming a barrier. Most other mountainous areas are flat buns-shaped hills with wide valleys, short hills and little ups and downs.
