In May of early summer, the Wuhan-Guangzhou high-speed passenger dedicated line, which attracted worldwide attention, has quietly started the preliminary construction. This is the first dedicated railway passenger line with a design speed of 350 kilometers per hour in China. It starts at Wuhan New Railway Station and ends at Huadu Station in Guangzhou. The total length of the main line is 968.42 kilometers, including Hubei section11.74 kilometers. There are four stations in Hubei, namely Wuhan, Xinwu Longquan, Xinnianning and Xinbibi. The construction period is four and a half years. When the train is running, it produces strong thrust and vibration, and its speed is greatly limited by the traditional ballast track. The world's most advanced "slag-free track" technology introduced from China was first used in Wuhan-Guangzhou Passenger Dedicated Line. At present, the experimental section of "Slag-free Track" in Wulongquan is about to start.

In 2009, after the opening of Wuhan-Guangzhou Passenger Dedicated Line, it only took more than three hours to reach Yangcheng directly, which was seven hours shorter than the original and faster than flying (plus the time for entering and leaving the airport and checking in). Wuhan Hefu Railway: 6 hours to the Oriental Capital. Hefei, Anhui Province, located in the east of Hubei Province, is the main channel connecting the Yangtze River Delta.

Wuhan-Hefei Railway: Anhui section has been started, and the horn of construction was sounded in the Hubei section of155km in June, and the investment was completed within this year1800 million yuan. Wu Kang Railway Second Line: The continental bridge advancing westward is on the map of Jingchu. Northwest Hubei is a poor mountainous area with backward economy. The second railway line from Wuhan to Ankang, Shaanxi Province has just become a continental bridge for the central and eastern regions to participate in the western development.

According to the provincial railway office, the second line of the railway has started construction, with a total length of 674 kilometers, including 530 kilometers in Hubei, accounting for 78.6% of the total length. Passing through Anlu, Suizhou, Xiangfan and Shiyan will effectively promote the economic development of poor mountainous areas in northwest Hubei, and at the same time enhance the competitiveness of our province in participating in the western development. Speed-up of Wujiu Railway: East Lake shakes hands with Lushan Mountain. East Lake in Wuhan and Lushan Mountain in Jiangxi are both world famous places. It is reported that the expansion and speed-up project of Wuhan-Jiujiang railway, which started in 2003, is expected to be completed this year.

The successful speed-up of the Wujiu Railway will greatly facilitate Hubei people's "red tourism" in Jiangxi and connect Jiangcheng Wuhan with the summer resort within two hours. Wuhan-Zhengzhou Passenger Dedicated Line: Take you to Zhengzhou in the Central Plains and live in the center of Wuhan and Beijing. The Wuhan-Zhengzhou Passenger Dedicated Line, which is scheduled to start construction in 2007, provides a channel for our province to expand northward and facilitates the competition in the Central Plains. The total length of this passenger dedicated line is more than 400 kilometers, including Hubei section 178 kilometers.
