Where is xihua university?

Xihua university was founded in 1960 as Sichuan Agricultural Machinery College, which was one of the agricultural machinery undergraduate colleges established in seven regions of China at that time in response to President Mao Zedong's call that "the fundamental way out for agriculture lies in mechanization". 1972 was renamed Chengdu agricultural machinery college, and 1978 was listed as a provincial key university by the Sichuan provincial government. In 2003, Sichuan University of Technology merged with chengdu normal university to form xihua university, and in 2008, it merged with Sichuan Economic Management Cadre College.

The school has three campuses: Headquarters, Pengzhou Campus and Chengdu Rennan Campus. The campus covers an area of nearly 3000 mu. The school headquarters is located in Chengdu, a famous historical and cultural city in China, adjacent to the West Zone of National High-tech Development Zone, adjacent to Wang Congdi Township and Yang Xiong's hometown in the west, and the Minjiang River winds through the campus from Dujiangyan. Campus has elegant atmosphere, lush vegetation, pleasant scenery and unique human and natural environment, and is an ideal garden for study and research. School educational affairs, party and government offices, library literature information and logistics services are all networked, and the campus network has created a good digital environment for teachers and students' work, study and life. The library covers an area of more than 40,000 square meters, with a total collection of books and electronic documents of more than 3.7 million volumes. It is one of the universities in China 100 that collect "China Recycled Rare Books".
