Why can't I install a wireless router on my campus network?

As an area with high user density, schools naturally cannot install wireless routers casually. There are at least three reasons:

1, real-name registration system registered online requirements: If everyone has installed their own router, everyone will tell their close friends the password according to their own ideas. Once there is a network security incident or problem, it is difficult to find the "initiator", that is, sharing the network at will lead to inexplicable accusations.

2. Wireless channel interference: In order to transmit information, radio signals need to be transmitted on the same channel, that is, the channel where two people talk. Not to mention that there are only three channels in 2.4GHz that do not interfere with each other, and there are only a few 5G channels, which add up to not enough for eight people in a dormitory.

Once the same frequency or adjacent frequency bands interfere, the signal will be strong, but the network quality will be poor, on the contrary, the internet experience will be worse. What's more, I think once this happens, I must have bought a more powerful route because my router is not strong enough. This creates a vicious circle.

3, the equipment is not standardized, the function is chaotic: for example. There is often a video on the short video platform, which teaches you how to use the old router at home to expand the signal coverage and improve the network quality, and tells you to plug the network cable of the new router into the LAN port of the old router so that the two routers can work together.

The biggest problem with this statement is that the most important step is to turn off the DHCP function of the slave route. But this problem is often ignored in short videos, which harms many people. What's more, some routers have bugs, and DHCP can't be turned off at all, which is a huge trouble.

If portal authentication is enabled on the campus network and the signal is not good, I want to connect a router on it and forget to turn off DHCP. The school is also at a loss. DHCP-snooping is not turned on, so a private router may cause a floor or even a building to be unable to access the network.

The campus network is independently developed and operated by Wuhan Campus Network Co., Ltd. (formerly Wuhan New Vision Education Consulting Co., Ltd.). The slogan of campus network is "campus network, network gathers campus strength".

The development of campus network mainly depends on the stable but increasing number of hundreds of millions of primary and secondary school students and the younger generation who have just entered the society, which can better reflect the characteristics and service scope of the website.

Campus network is not an application product, but a network operating system, a technical platform like WINDOWS. Many web application-level products can be developed and expanded on the campus network platform. It is a new network operating system for individuals and small companies who have no server resources but have strong information creation ability and need a lot of free network applications.

Campus network is an SNS network platform with people, people-to-people relationship network and application products as the core and campus learning, life, entertainment, games and entrepreneurship as the theme.

It is an open WEB operating system based on blog, space, community forums, alumni records, groups, topics, photo albums, music, web games, online teaching, P2P, streaming media, Witkey and so on, which integrates many WEB2.0 applications. And is implemented by the most advanced WEB desktop operating system technology.

Campus network is committed to building the largest campus interactive network platform in China. Provide all-round network information services for the campus, and integrate other advantageous resources of society at the same time, so that campus network services are all-inclusive, and also promote the rapid development of other industries, forming a complete and huge campus industrial service chain.
