How many times are there opportunities to participate in the Informatics Olympic Competition every year?

NOI, the rules of the Informatics Olympic Competition, is a high-level competition of the Youth Informatics Olympics. It is held once a year and teams from all provinces participate. This competition records individual scores and group total scores. Team competition is an integral part of NOI, all teams must participate, and their scores are included in the team's total score.

Competitive characteristics

NOI organizers can get another five places in the competition year, and they can form teams separately. If the organizer is a school, you can get three places. These players will be decided by the host school and will not participate in the provincial trials. Organizers can also get 1 NOI places last year and next year without selection. These players are directly recommended by the original host school or organizer, and will not participate in the provincial trials, nor will they be considered as players in their province.

Participants must be students in the same year (excluding senior three graduates in the summer vacation, Hong Kong and Macao can refer to the local academic system), and the upper age limit is 19 years old (subject to June 30). When registering, the team leader must submit a copy of the player's ID card or household registration book to the competition committee and sign the copy. The competition committee is responsible for qualification confirmation. Players who do not meet the competition conditions will not be eligible. Students can participate in the provincial trials and this competition.
