? Sunset in the sound of cuckoo?
Text/Zhang
It is a sad bird, a bad bird and a good bird; Also known as Bugu, Du Yu, Zigui and Cuigui. If anyone is the most controversial bird with the most aliases, it is probably the cuckoo in the bird kingdom.
Walking into the artistic conception of China's ancient poems, it is easy to hear Du Fu's voice. For example, Wang Wei said, "A thousand valleys are hard to fill, and a thousand peaks crow." For example, Cai Xiang's poem said: "The rain in the cuckoo's voice is full of plows, and it is not just savages who know how to push plows."
Li Bai wrote in the poem "Seeing Azaleas in Xuancheng": "Shu once heard of Zigui birds, and Xuancheng also saw azaleas. One is called, one is ileum, the other is broken, and I remember it on March 3. " The azaleas and azaleas in Shi Xian's works are images of homesickness. Especially the cuckoo, the sound arouses the listener's sadness, not only because it resembles the song "It is better to go home", but also because it is related to an old legend.
According to legend, the cuckoo is the soul incarnation of Du Yu, the king of the ancient Shu kingdom. At the end of the Zhou Dynasty, Du Yu proclaimed himself emperor in Shu, with the title of Wang Di. In his later years, Du Yu was flooded, so he let the turtle spirit control the water. Master Roshi successfully managed the flood, and Dan Duyu was forced to give up the throne and then lived in seclusion in Xishan. "Wang's longing for love is crying in a cuckoo." After Du Yu's death, his soul became a cuckoo, so he was particularly sad to cry.
Bai Juyi said in Pipa Xing: "What can be heard here in the morning and evening? , cuckoo's bleeding cry, ape's whimper. " Du Fu said in Du Fu: "Du Fu came in late spring and mourned during it. I often worship, which is the soul of the ancient emperor. "
What I like best is a sentence in the Song Dynasty Qin Guan's "Treading on the Sand": "It's like a lonely person in the spring, and a cuckoo is at sunset." In 1097, he was born four years less. Influenced by the dispute between the new party and the old party at that time, the poet was sentenced to Hangzhou first, then to Zhangzhou wine tax, and then to Chenzhou, and all his official titles and salaries were taken away. His inner feelings can be imagined. Thus, the cuckoo beside the lonely pavilion, moaning in the sunset, bears the infinite frustration of the poet's official career.
As a kind of "sad bird", cuckoo's cry has the pain of mourning for the country, homesickness and relegation, and all kinds of thoughts are related to sadness, which makes people sigh.
In fact, the cuckoo is a different image in China's earliest poetry anthology-The Book of Songs. Here, the cuckoo also has an unknown name, which may be the earliest-pigeon. "The wind? Zhao Nan? There is a poem in Magpie Nest: "Wei Magpie has a nest, and Wei Dui lives in it. Later generations have the saying that "the magpie is in the nest". "The' magpie' here refers to magpies, while the' pigeon' does not refer to turtledoves, but pigeons, that is, cuckoos. From a biological point of view, the duel between cuckoo and magpie will not have any advantage, and that nest should be abandoned.
Whether cuckoos have ever occupied the nests that attack magpies remains to be verified, and the crime of occupying other birds' nests may be cleared, but it is a well-known fact that cuckoos often lay eggs in other nests and let other kinds of birds provide services for the hatching and feeding of their offspring. This is the main reason why Rhododendron is called "bad bird". This can be proved by another sentence in Du Fu's poem Du Fu: "Hundreds of birds dare not give birth to bird's nests. Also feed your son, if the ceremony is supreme. "
Of course, it's not that "hundreds of birds dare not live", but that the owner is ignorant. For example, robin, fan-tailed owl, reed warbler, grey magpie, black curly tail and other "silly birds". Usually, cuckoo chicks are born first, and then the owner's eggs are pushed down from the nest, so that they can have the special favor of "adoptive parents".
Rhododendron is a famous "charlatan" in the bird kingdom, and Rhododendron palmatum was amazing at an early age. Under the two wings of Rhododendron palmatum, there is a pattern similar to a bird's mouth. When it flapped its wings, it seemed that three birds were opening their mouths to cheat more food.
In the competition between survival and reproduction, the wisdom between the host and the cuckoo never stops, but there are always some clever birds who are alert or see through the tricks of the cuckoo. The nest structure of the yellow-tailed warbler resembles an open-air football field, but its real nest entrance is in a hidden place on one side, which is difficult for cuckoo to find, thus breaking her idea of playing tricks here. In Africa, a weaver bird lays eggs of various colors or spots in its nest, which makes it impossible for cuckoos who are good at imitating the external characteristics of other birds' eggs to cheat again. Even if the cuckoo lays eggs in the weaver's nest, its eggs are often quickly identified and deported.
It should be noted that not all azaleas feed on eggs, but all azaleas feed on agricultural and forestry pests, so they naturally belong to the beneficial birds. In particular, many birds don't like to eat Dendrolimus punctatus, but Rhododendron eats it with relish, thus winning the reputation of "forest guardian".
"Sunset sets in the sound of cuckoos." In fact, soaking in the soft light of the sunset and sitting in the birds singing everywhere, naturally you don't have to feel too much, and enjoy the peace of life and the peace of years!
Postscript:
20 18 one morning in may 15, as if I were still asleep, I heard a cuckoo singing. This song is too familiar. When I was a child, we all called it "old fat pen container", which was named after its sound. Hehe, is it good for fat people to lose weight by brushing pots? After many nights, it kept barking and barking. Is it really "tears of blood"? ...
