Introduce a single spark

The script A Little Spark was written on 1925 and premiered on the stage by Shanghai People's Shanghai Repertory Theatre on 1959. In 2000, the performances starring, Gu, Wang Huazhong and Qian Sijian were rearranged. The story tells that Yang, a peasant woman in Yangzhou, came to Shanghai with her son after her husband's death, looking for her daughter Xiaozhen, who worked as a "bonded worker" in a Japanese cotton mill. The foreman wouldn't let them be together. When Guangxi was desperate, thanks to party member, workers Gao Hong and Gao Xiaomei, they introduced the mother and son to work in the factory and helped her get to know Xiaozhen. The incident was discovered by the foreman of Dongyangpo, and Xiaozhen was killed, which aroused the workers in the whole factory to strike and protest. The boss fired Gao Hong's brother and sister, and Yang retaliated with scissors. Liu Ying, the leader of the underground party, encouraged her to take part in the workers' struggle. The Japanese boss of the factory tried to force Yang to deny that the Japanese killed Xiaozhen at the press conference, in order to achieve the purpose of framing the * * * production party. Yang exposed the enemy's plot on the spot and took part in the magnificent "Wuzhou" movement with the workers' brothers.
