Chengdu Aviation Vocational and Technical College (formerly Chengdu Aviation Industry School) was founded in 1965 and was originally affiliated to aviation industry corporation of china. From 65438 to 0994, the school began to hold five-year higher vocational education with the approval of the State Education Commission.

1998, approved by the Ministry of Education, was rebuilt into Yan Ting of Chengdu Aviation Vocational and Technical College (hereinafter referred to as Chengdu Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics);

1999, Chengdu Aviation College was transferred from aviation industry corporation of china to Sichuan Province, and was jointly funded by the central and local governments, becoming an ordinary institution of higher learning directly under the Education Department of Sichuan Province.
