national olympiad in informatics
NOIP (Chinese name: National Informatics Olympiad) is an informatics Olympiad and popularization activity for young people all over the country.
Its main purpose is to popularize computer science knowledge to those teenagers who study in middle schools, and to provide motivation and new ideas for information technology education courses in schools. Organized by China Computer Federation every year. NOIP is divided into two stages: preliminaries and semi-finals.
2010119 The Ministry of Education announced that it would cancel the eligibility of all kinds of universities below the first prize in the Olympic National Finals, and the local admissions committees would decide whether to give extra points below 20 points. The adjustment policy will be applicable to students who enter the first grade of senior high school in the fall of 20 1 1, and students who enter senior high school before 20 10 (inclusive) can still apply the relevant policies before the adjustment.
According to the regulations of the Ministry of Education on the selection conditions of students who walk in colleges and universities, all high school graduates who won the first prize of the Informatics Olympic Competition in various provinces in China are eligible to walk in colleges and universities. Winners of the first prize in some areas also enjoy extra points in the college entrance examination, depending on the recruitment policies of each province. Winners can apply to participate in independent enrollment and walking exams in colleges and universities. After passing the college entrance examination, they can enjoy the preferential treatment of dropping their scores in the college entrance examination or directly exempting themselves from the entrance examination.
Non-senior three players who have performed well in NOIP can participate in the National Finals (NOI) and summer camp competitions as provincial team members (some provincial and municipal team members must be determined through trials). NOIP winners are also eligible for walks. Players with excellent grades can get tips from universities on the spot and enter prestigious schools without trial. As an extension of the national finals, the summer camp itself is not qualified for walking, but if the contestants have won the first prize of NOIP before, they can also participate in the live walking. High school graduates who won the first place before the 20 13 semi-final of the improvement group can be exempted from the college entrance examination, but they can be admitted directly through the university's walking exam.
