According to the official display of Zaozhuang Municipal Government, the construction of National Highway 206 began in March 2003. National Highway 206 is a national backbone highway, starting from Weihai City, Shandong Province (under planning), passing through Jiangsu, Anhui and Jiangxi, and ending at the intersection of Chaoshan Road, Shantou City, Guangdong Province.
Zaozhuang National Highway 206 (Yanshan Line) enters Zaozhuang City from Lanling County, Linyi City, and enters jiawang district, Xuzhou City via Shizhong, Yicheng and Taierzhuang.
