Basic situation of Fuding No.17 Middle School

Since 2002, the teachers of No.17 Middle School have published 16 papers in the CN publications such as Fujian Education, and 28 teachers have won the advanced honors of the province, prefecture and city. Students won 2 national second prizes and 6 provincial second and third prizes in various subject competitions. In 2002, Shi Jianjian and Wang Guochang won the first prize of Ningde Mathematical Olympics and English Olympics respectively, and in 2004, Wang Xiaoqian won the first prize of Ningde Mathematical Olympics. In 2005, Li Jiaxin, a teacher of the school, instructed Chen Jiahuan to take part in the national applied physics knowledge competition and won the first prize in Ningde Division. In 2005, Wang Jianyi, a student of this school, participated in the reading essay activity of "Love my China, Love my motherland" and won the first prize of Ningde City. In recent years, the school has achieved excellent results in sports, music, art and other competitions, so I won't list them one by one for the time being. Teachers in this school take an active part in teaching and research activities. In 2004, the school summarized two topics, namely, Task-based Teaching Research of English in Rural Junior Middle Schools and Mutual Learning of Mathematics in Rural Junior Middle Schools, and won the first and second prizes of teaching and research topics in Ningde City in 2004. In 2004, Wang, Fan Jinlian and other teachers won the first and second prizes in the excellent case evaluation of curriculum reform held by the Municipal Education Bureau. In the evaluation of high-quality Chinese courses in Ningde City, Mr. Wang won the first prize and the courseware he made won the second prize. Teacher Lin Jing won the second prize in Ningde Teaching Speech Competition. Since 2002, the school has achieved excellent results in the senior high school entrance examination for four consecutive years: in 2002, there were 44 students in the senior high school entrance examination, Zheng Jiayu also won the first place in the municipal senior high school entrance examination, and Wang Guochang won the third place; In 2003, there were 37 students who won the first place in the senior high school entrance examination, ranking first in the independent junior high school. In the senior high school entrance examination in 2004, there were 44 students in the No.1 Middle School of this school. The excellent rate and passing rate of Chinese, Mathematics, English, Politics and Physics all rank first among the middle schools in the city (excluding No.1 Middle School and No.6 Middle School), and the two rates of chemistry rank second, which shows the comprehensive strength of the teaching of all disciplines in this school. In the senior high school entrance examination in 2005, there were 4 1 students in No.1 middle school, ranking first in independent junior high schools. In 2003, the school was identified as the experimental base school for implementing the new curriculum reform in fuding city, among which three teachers, Chinese, Mathematics and English, were also identified as members of the municipal curriculum reform guidance group. In 2004, it was further confirmed as a teaching and research base school for the new curriculum reform in Ningde City (the only one in fuding city). In the same year, the school successfully passed the evaluation of the advanced school for implementing quality education in fuding city, and was named as the advanced school for new curriculum reform in Ningde City in September 2004.

With the development in recent years, the school has made remarkable achievements in the quality of education and teaching, especially in the senior high school entrance examination for four consecutive years, which has aroused great social repercussions and won praise from all walks of life. With the improvement of the reputation of the school, the pressure of running a school is increasing, and the conditions for running a school are obviously insufficient, which has seriously restricted the further development of the school. What the school urgently needs to solve is to build a comprehensive building as soon as possible, and at the same time requisition 20 mu of land to build a sports ground and a 250-meter runway. I sincerely hope that the superior leaders will pay attention to the construction and development of the 17th Middle School.
