1978, the development of wind power equipment is listed as a national key scientific research project in China. Since then, the development speed of wind turbines has been accelerated, and miniature and 1 ~ 200 kW wind turbines have been developed and produced successively. Among them, the domestic micro gas turbine technology is the most mature, and currently there are100W,150W, 200W, 300W and 500W. By the end of 2005, more than 300,000 off-grid wind turbines below 10 kW had been produced, and more than 7000 wind turbines were actually in operation. In 2005, more than 30,000 off-grid wind turbines were produced, of which more than 5,000 were exported to more than 30 countries and regions. China's off-grid wind turbines mainly provide domestic electricity for single-family households in remote areas with low population density, and the power is 100 ~ 300 watts. With the expansion of application scope and power consumption, the power supply is from one machine to multiple machines, from a single wind turbine to wind/light, wind/light/diesel complementary systems.
The development and utilization of grid-connected wind turbines in China can be divided into three stages. From 1985 to 1995, on the basis of absorbing foreign advanced technology, small-scale projects were demonstrated by using foreign government loans, and 120 ~ 300 kW wind turbines were successfully developed. 1995 ~ 2003, the Chinese government successively issued some preferential policies, among which the Ministry of Science and Technology promoted the development of wind power technology through tackling key scientific and technological problems and the national "863" high-tech project, while the former Economic and Trade Commission and the Planning Commission promoted the development of wind power industry through double-addition projects, national debt projects and wind riding plans, and successively developed 600 kW and 750 kW wind turbines, and gradually formed industries, with the localization rate reaching over 90%.
Since 2003, the National Development and Reform Commission has further supported and encouraged the development of wind power industry through wind farm concession projects, cultivated the domestic wind power market and accelerated the construction of wind farms. At the same time, the megawatt generator set has been successfully developed in China, and Xinjiang Goldwind Technology Co., Ltd. has developed 1 through the combination of technology introduction and independent research and development. 2 MW direct-drive wind turbine; Independent research and development by Wind Energy Research Institute of Shenyang University of Technology 1? 0 MW doubly-fed variable speed constant frequency wind turbine; Dongfang Steam Turbine Works, Dalian Heavy Industry Lifting Group and Hafei Group have also developed megawatt fans through technology introduction. The first domestic 1 in 2006? 5 MW wind turbine was successfully developed; Subsequently, China's first 1? 5 MW wind turbine goes offline; In 2007, the first 2 MW wind turbine rolled off the assembly line; In 2007, the first domestic 2? The 5 MW wind turbine production line has settled in Beihai, which indicates that China's wind power technology has made great progress. In addition to developing wind power industry and building wind farms, great progress has been made in the investigation and evaluation of wind energy resources, the design technology of wind turbines and the simulation technology of wind power generation systems, as well as the capacity building of standards, testing and certification.
In recent years, the development speed of wind power in China far exceeds that of other wind power countries in the world, and the investment projects range from tens of millions to tens of billions. By the end of 2007, Chinese mainland has built 158 wind farms, and installed 6,469 wind turbines with an installed capacity of 590? 60,000 kilowatts. Among them, the newly installed capacity of Chinese mainland in 2007 was 133? Compared with 70,000 kilowatts, the growth rate is 147? 1% has reached 330? 40,000 kilowatts.
Among the newly-added wind power installed capacity in China, the market share of domestic enterprises has reached 55? 9%, surpassing foreign-funded enterprises for the first time (foreign-funded enterprises account for 42? 5%, the joint venture accounts for 1? 6%)。 With the implementation of policies and regulations such as Renewable Energy Law and Implementation Opinions on Promoting Wind Power Development, the storm of energy saving and emission reduction has boosted the great development of China's wind power industry. According to the reports of Greenpeace International and World Wind Energy Association, China has been listed as one of the leading countries in the future development of global wind power market (other countries include the United States, Canada, Australia, Britain, France, Japan, Italy, Germany, Brazil, India, Philippines, Turkey and Poland).
