As of 20 15, Xiaoxian Museum has 4,079 pieces (sets), including 8 pieces (sets) of national first-class cultural relics/kloc-0, 69 pieces (sets) of second-class cultural relics and 348 pieces (sets) of third-class cultural relics. Among them, it is characterized by the collection of famous painters and schools in Anhui in Ming and Qing Dynasties, such as Longcheng Painting School, Jianghuai Freehand Painting School and Xiaoxian local famous painters.
Xiaoxian Museum is a group member of China Museum Association, a key cultural relic protection unit in Anhui Province, a patriotic education base in Xiaoxian County, Anhui Province, an advanced unit in cultural relic publicity and information work, and an off-campus education base for young people in Xiaoxian County.
Xiaoxian Museum covers an area of 3,000 square meters with a building area of 1 170 square meters. The exhibition of cultural relics is divided into four parts: ancient civilization, glory of Han dynasty, charm of Tang and Song dynasties and modern civilization. There are three exhibition halls: ancient and modern cultural relics, Xiaoxian Han stone relief art museum and Xiaoxian painting and calligraphy exhibition hall.
Ancient and modern cultural relics exhibition hall
In the exhibition of ancient and modern cultural relics in Xiaoxian Museum, the ancient civilization part mainly displays the stone tools, jade articles and bone horns unearthed from Xiaoxian 10 Neolithic site to show Xiaoxian's ancient civilization. The glorious part of the cultural relics in the Han dynasty, thus tracing the origin history of Xiaoxian painting and calligraphy. The "Remains of Tang and Song Dynasties" exhibition area of Xiaoxian Museum mainly displays all kinds of porcelain unearthed from Baitu Kiln in Xiaoxian during the Tang and Song Dynasties (there were 72 porcelain kilns in its heyday), so as to reflect the development and porcelain-making level of Xiaoxian ceramic industry during the Tang and Song Dynasties.
Han portrait stone art museum
The Han stone reliefs in Xiaoxian Han Stone Art Museum can be roughly divided into three categories: auspicious birds and beasts, myths and legends, and real life. Some stone carvings also mix three aspects. The patterns on the stone reliefs of the Han Dynasty in Xiaoxian County include two dragons crossing the wall, crossing the ring and laying the first ring, as well as doormen and architectural drawings reflecting real life, which truly reproduce the political, economic and cultural beliefs of the Han Dynasty.
Painting and calligraphy exhibition hall
Xiaoxian Painting and Calligraphy Exhibition Hall mainly displays the works and collections of Xiao calligraphers and painters, such as,, and Yan.
Among the cultural relics collected by Xiaoxian Museum, Neolithic stone tools and jade articles, pottery of Han Dynasty, stone reliefs of Han Dynasty, Xiao kiln porcelain of Song Dynasty and modern Xiao writers' paintings and calligraphy works are mostly, while Han dynasty stone reliefs, Xiao kiln porcelain of Song Dynasty and modern Xiao writers' paintings and calligraphy works have more local characteristics. The exhibition of Xiaoxian Museum comprehensively and intuitively shows the audience Xiaoxian's long history and profound cultural heritage.
