Yinchuan Institute of Science and Technology is an ordinary undergraduate college approved by the Ministry of Education, located in Yinchuan, the capital of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region. Yinchuan Institute of Science and Technology is a full-time undergraduate college with the right to award bachelor's degrees. The campus is located in Yinchuan, Ningxia. The school has 8 colleges,1more than 5000 students. In May 2008, the Ministry of Education approved the establishment of Yinchuan College of China University of Mining and Technology. In June, 20021,the Ministry of Education agreed to turn it into an independent undergraduate institution of higher learning and renamed it Yinchuan Institute of Science and Technology.
