Introduction of Wenchang Tower in Gaoming City, Foshan?

Tower is a common traditional building in China in Asia, which has a unique form and style. There are more than 2000 towers in China. There are many kinds of pagodas, and Zhong Da Consulting has brought architects a detailed introduction of "Foshan Gaoming Guiling Pagoda".

Guiling Pagoda, also known as Guifeng Pagoda, is located in Guifeng Mountain, Gaoming District, Foshan City, near Xijiang River. Provincial key cultural relics protection units.

Guiling Pagoda was built in the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty (160 1). Legend has it that this place used to be full of snakes and scorpions, and the people were miserable. The tortoise made great efforts to exorcise evil spirits and save people in from the mire. Because the tortoise was exhausted, it turned into a turtle peak by sleeping on the river. People thanked the tortoise for its kindness, and every family built a shrine to worship it. In the twenty-ninth year of Wanli in Ming Dynasty, Da Lun, a gifted scholar in Jinshi District, proposed to build a tower.

Guiling Pagoda is an octagonal seven-story pavilion-style brick tower with a height of 32.3 meters. The first layer is 7.2m in diameter and 2.4m in inner diameter. Each floor was originally made of wooden boards, and there was a flat seat outside the tower. Later, wooden boards were converted into brick structures, wooden railings were changed into iron pipes, and the eaves of each floor were decorated with glazed tiles. The first floor was originally used to put two stone buddhas, but it was later lost. After lightning, wind and rain, the Japanese invaders shelled and shot during the invasion of China, and the tower was riddled with bullets, and the sidewalks on all floors of the tower were destroyed and on the verge of collapse. Fixed on 1984.

Guilin pagoda in Gaoming, Foshan was announced as the third batch of key cultural relics protection units in Guangdong Province in June, 1989.
